I'm learning java! I got some books and downloaded the Jdevelepors kit.
It's pretty hard, the code is a lot like gml but there is a lot of things you have to remember and more code to write and new functions to learn.
I wrote a fruit calculator app!
Spoiler:
public class Fruitcounter1 { public static void main(String[] args) { //Declare variables int numapples = 10; //apples int numpears = 6;//pears int numTotal = 0; //total amount
//calculate numTotal = numapples + numpears; //numtotal should now be equal to 16 //Display System.out.println("The fruit calculator"); System.out.println("Total Fruit:" + numTotal); } }
I've never really looked into Java much. But I should as it seems to be the favorite at a lot of colleges. I think that Java is actually a great language, and I should probably learn it at some point.

A great place to start if you haven't seen it already is the eclipse website. They have a series of tutorials called eclipsetutorial.sourceforge.net/totalbeginner.html It's based around the eclipse IDE but ofc that's not a requirement for the Java aspect. Happy Coding
